Coffee with Cortney 6/14
Hello Sunday! It’s that time of week again – Coffee with Cortney! Last week I covered some common home questions. This week, I’ll talk about some common hair issues, Summer plans, and a FREE bible verse download. Let’s dive in!
Q. Would you be willing to talk about hair tutorials on the blog? I struggle with having oily or greasy looking hair when applying products even in small amounts. Please help!
A. I will definitely add more hair tutorials to my list, thank you for the request! As far as oily or greasy hair, I suggest the mint shampoo which minimizes oil production, the boar bristle brush which evenly distributes the oils in your hair to hydrate your ends, and dry shampoo to train your hair to go longer between washes which will also help reduce oil production! Shop all three of these products here and check out more hair posts here.
Q. What are you most looking forward to this Summer?
A. One of the things I love most about Summer is spending so much time with my kids! Especially after becoming a makeshift homeschool this year, haha. It was definitely a challenge to teach them at home while trying to work and soak up quality time. Now that one of those will be knocked off our plate, we will have more time for fun, laughter, play, and memories! I’m also looking forward to moving into our new home and cooking up some yummy new recipes. You can see some of my recent recipes here.
Q. I always see posts saying ‘New on the Blog’ but where do I find the blog? I feel like I’m missing posts. Why not continue to share everything on Facebook?
A. If you’re here right now, you’re actually on my blog! It’s a new section on my recently made over CortneyWheeler.com. My website is mobile-friendly, but also looks different on a desktop computer or laptop – so check it out both ways! When you’re on my site, I have an easy-to-navigate menu with hot topics (like home, makeup, and motherhood to name a few!). I also have a section where you can quickly access hair and makeup products used in my Facebook videos. If you’re still worried about missing a post or not much of a website person, be sure to subscribe to my weekly newsletters. I round up all the previous week’s post and send them right to your inbox! As much as I love sharing on Facebook, especially my live videos, life gets busy and hectic! Having the blog gives everything a permanent, searchable place for posts, topics and ideas to live + I can write late at night or whenever and schedule things. Facebook live can only happen in real time and sometimes the day just gets away from me!
Q. How has your anxiety been? How are you feeling lately?
A. I will always have good days and bad days, but God always shows He is in charge and knows my best path. This year has been a true test but trusting His lead has shown me the light yet again. There is a lot still going on in the world and it’s absolutely awful. Below is one of my favorite verses for troubling times, I made it into a little graphic you can save on your phone and reference as needed!
