If you’re a regular around here, you know anxiety is never a topic I shy away from. While it’s not fun or glamourous, it is a part of my real life. I’ve learned a few tips and tricks for Easy and Natural Ways to Handle Anxiety, so I have to share!
Anxiety is not fun, and there is definitely not a one size fits all cure but I wanted to share a few ways I have made mine feel like it lives on the back burner instead of the forefront of my life. Take each of these suggestions with a grain of salt and work them into your everyday life. Hopefully these small tweaks can become easy and natural ways to handle anxiety for you as well!
one. FOCUS ON PRAYER, FAITH, AND GOD
Anxiety is scary but God is greater, always. I always turn towards God during difficult times and anxiety is no exception. I have a friend who, a few years ago, was worried about going on a mission trip, but they ultimately decided to trust God’s plan and go. While they were there, their house was destroyed in a tornado. Since they trusted God’s plan, they were away from home and this possibly saved their lives. It’s a true testament that God is in control and knows your perfect plan. In addition to keeping this story in my back pocket, I turn to prayer and scriptures too. You can find so many of my favorite verses here.
two. UPNESS CBD OIL
The first thing I’ve found that helps with my anxiety is Upness CBD Oil. Upness sources CBD oil that’s extracted from hemp grown in the United States, so I feel good that it’s natural and homegrown on U.S. soil. They work with U.S. extractors and manufacturers to use ingredients they can track to ensure the safety and efficacy of every Upness product you use. While the oil is derived from CBD, it doesn’t make you feel like you’re in an altered state, it just helps you feel lighter and more at ease. You can learn more here.
three. STEP AWAY
Life is overwhelming with or without anxiety, so it’s no surprise when anxiety hits – life gets 10x more overwhelming. I know days can get hectic but remember you can’t fill other’s glasses when yours is empty so always find time for yourself. If I feel my anxiety getting worse, I step away as much as I can. Maybe it’s an ice cream date with my kids, relaxing in a bubble bath or just simply not getting on social media for the day but doing something to unplug is a huge help!
four. CHOOSE JOY
It’s easy to get caught up in the news, especially when it seems to report something new and scary every day. Instead, choose joy! Fill your newsfeed with positive people to follow, turn off the news and turn on some worship music, sit down, and make a list of all the things you have to be thankful for. Afterward, compare this to whatever is making you anxious and you’ll most likely notice that the anxiety is pretty small in comparison.
So how do you fight anxiety? I hope these four easy and natural ways to handle anxiety are simple enough to work into your everyday life yet big enough to make an impact! Just know I’m praying for you all and in the end, it will be ok! If you have a specific prayer request, leave it in the comments below!
