How to Thicken Thin Hair Like a Pro

CortneyJuly 31, 2020

One of the many hair questions I get asked about is how to add thickness and volume for thin or fine hair. Since I have thick and coarse hair this isn’t a topic I touch base on frequently but I still need to help you ladies out! Let’s talk about one of my favorite products that will be a game changer for getting thick, full hair + the tools that I recommend to use with it!

Thicken Thin Hair

L’ange Thick It Cream!

I have to admit, when I first used this product I did not like it. It made my hair feel super sticky and heavy so I tossed it aside and moved onto my normal wet hair routine. It wasn’t until one of my friends stopped me and said “NO, you have to try it again!” until I saw the light.

The trick to using this cream like a pro, is to only use a tiny amount. I use a dime sized squeeze at the roots of my wet hair before blow drying to create a full, tousled and lived in look perfect for styling any way that you would like. The most amazing thing about this product, is unlike other thickening products, it actually hydrates while also allowing you to achieve the look that you want. Others that I have tried focus on drying out hair which does more long term damage than good.

After applying to wet hair, I recommend using the Le Volume to get the perfect salon quality blow out. Then being from the south, I am never afraid of a little tease for added volume and height at the route. Using a Teasing Comb, separate at the root and back brush to add a little pillow of hair then shape and comb til your desired look.

I loved putting together a post that was not necessarily something that I struggle with but know that a lot of women do, what are some other styles or issues you all have that you would like to know what I would recommend doing?! Drop them in the comments below!

I have a lot of thin hair and I love the Thick It Cream along with the Sea Salt Texturizing Spray. I use those to blow out my hair and I can go 2 or 3 days without shampooing, which I never could before!

I usually use the shade Tulle in the stick foundation and I usually use this powder in the shade Camlet to highlight!
